Yesterday morning something fabulous happened. You see, prior to yesterday morning I had been in a bit of a funk for the couple of weeks prior. My funk consisted of feeling overwhelmed, lacking the motivation to do anything more than the basic necessities, inability to concentrate, and constantly being on the verge of tears.
If the word, "depression" is flashing through your brain right now, it's ok. That's exactly what my best friend thought...and said! It's funny, because those are totally signs of the big D, but ever since last year's tragedy (you can read about that here), I've refused to call it that. I refuse to call it that because it's not something that is consistent in my life. Ever since last year, I've been on an emotional roller coaster ride. Some weeks I'm at the top, waving my hands in the air, and enjoying the ride; then others (like the last couple), are spent at the bottom. I've come to realize and identify these times, and have really been working on giving myself grace while I cope. However, I'd be lying if I told you that I didn't wake up every morning of my funk, praying that today would mark the day of the upward climb.
Yesterday, my friends, marked the day of the upward climb.
Yesterday, I woke up to the most delightful email. It was a reply from one of YOU, and it started my day on a very positive note. I read it, and my rollercoaster car started chugging up the track. Then, within a couple of hours, another email arrived...more amazingly kind words! All of this, in response to the TFD Style Toolbox eBook that I recently sent out to my very special newsletter peeps (you can get your FREE copy annnd become my special newsletter peep by signing up below).
But wait, there's more (insert cheesy infomercial voice here)! Next thing I knew, I had a notification that someone had posted a comment (see below) to the TFD Style faceb0ok page. Again, more positive mojo! All I could think, is how lucky I am to have the readers that I have, and how extremely grateful I am for every single one of YOU who takes the time to read my words. I know that we live in a busy world, and that there are millions of blogs out there. The fact that you take the time out of your day to follow along means the world to me. And to those of you who go the extra mile to comment on blog posts, play along on facebook, and email your questions and kinds words...
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
I love you all!
(and I want to kiss your face right now)
